We want to give a shout out to our friends and amazing company – Mrs R’ganics. We have been using Carol’s products for years and started doing markets with her in the Inns Cross Market a while back. Not only has it been a complete joy to get to know Carol, we’ve also gotten an insight into how passionate she is about creating her products and the huge amounts of work she puts into each & every thing she does. Can you tell she’s our crush?
Carol’s commitment to the use of truly organic ingredients is impressive. I learned that SO many products out there using the term ‘organic’ are far from it. It can be used when only a fraction of the ingredients are in fact organic (and even then, it’s questionable). In Carol’s own words – aka taken from her website 😉
“I focus on using the highest quality organic flowers, herbs, essential oils and plant based ingredients. Our ingredients are almost exclusively 100% organic, raw, unrefined and ethically sourced.” Need I say more?
I’m now also much more aware of the amount of locally made skincare products that do not go through the legal requirement (and in my opinion ethical no-brainer) to list the ingredients on the government portals; which is costly and time consuming but – agin – a legal requirement. The first thing I do at markets is check for them, and I am still shocked at the lack of compliance
BUT, I am here to talk about some of my absolute favourites from Mrs R’ganics, so lets get into it.
First is my ALL TIME FAVOURITE! The Organic Sleep Balm.
This stuff is just amazing and smells incredible (I am not normally a fan of lavender but the lavender oil in this is unlike anything I have tried before). I use it on my beard before bed to envelope my senses. I probably shouldn’t but I also use it on my face and its leave my skin so soft and glowing.
Next up is Carol’s Organic Pillow Mist. I take this everywhere with me and use it in multiple ways. Firstly we use it every night. A few spritzes on your pillow before bed is the perfect way to head off into the land of nod. I also use it as a face spray on warm days and sometimes on my jumper, simply for the smell. With the use of such quality ingredients, it makes for a super versatile product. This may seem bizarre but I also use it as an under arm deodorant!
Next up is the Organic Nightingale Balm. Again, I use this for everything. It is designed to nourish dry & itchy skin. I use it on my face once a week for an injection of moisture. My hands get super dry when we are pouring candles, because of all the heat, so I use this right after and it works a treat. It also smells amazing!
Of course the Beardy Balm is a worthy inclusion. This stuff smells wonderful (you may have noticed this is running theme for me). My beard grows in many different directions and rarely in the way I want it to. This stuff genuinely tames it down and leaves it feeling just lovely – moisturised and shiny.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Wild Organic Seaweed Body Oil.
Some of this in a bath is just the ticket! It coats your skin as you get out and leaves it super soft. Again, the smell is just off the charts! It doesn’t smell of seaweed, but contains warming and almost spicy notes. It’s not recommended for your face, but I use a tiny amount on my face and it leaves it radiant! I find it’s best used after a shower or bath, gently dry yourself (but not completely) and apply this to your skin and allow to sink in… bliss. It’s a close call between this and the Sleep Balm for my favourite.
To see Carol’s full range, have a look here. If you are on Instagram, Carol’s page is worth following. Not only do you get to see some of the behind the scenes work, but there are amazing food recommendations, where their next market is, sea swims and more! Carol really is an inspiring and wonderful woman – as is her partner in crime, Mr R. – and they’re both good friends.
Thanks for taking the time to read this folks!
